Openhouse's groundbreaking new caregiver training series was featured in the SF Bay Times! πŸ”Ž It's a story we've heard far too often in our community space: many of the LGBTQ+ older adults we work with feel that they have to "go back into the closet" when accessing services at other senior-serving organizations.

"To address this, Openhouse, a San Francisco-based nonprofit, launched Culture of Care,an educational training series designed to help caregiving organizations and their teams strengthen 2SLGBTQ+ cultural responsiveness. This program is not just timely; it’s essential," explains Carla PeΓ±a, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Education.
