Friends of Ethics

Friends of Ethics serves as a watch on city ethics policies and practice Our effort, along with others, resulted in the defeat of both measures.

Former Ethics Commissioners, staffers and advocates for a more transparent and accountable City Hall joined together last year to oppose two ballot measures that lowered public accountability. Currently Friends of Ethics is filing ethics complaints when violations of the city's campaign and/or government ethics laws are violated. Friends is also working to improve SF's laws, including upgrading to standards that require more disclosure and accountability.
