In doing so, she's engaged everyone from members of the community to elected officials during her two terms as Student Trustee.

A native San Franciscan and proud graduate of City College, Shanell has spent the past 4 years fighting to save our City College from a near loss of accreditation and closure. She travelled from San Francisco to Washington D.C., and worked tirelessly alongside students, faculty and classified staff to ensure our City College remained open and accredited.
