Last year, NAFCON activated the Bayanihan Disaster Response to provide immediate support for communities impacted by the various natural disasters. In addition to the generous donations our communities fundraised for our kababayan, a cohort was sent this past December 2025 to provide people to people assistance and learn about the experiences of the people.
Join NAFCON and Migrante USA for a sharing on the Bayanihan efforts conducted this past December! The cohort will be sharing about the

๐ ACTION ALERT: Protect Kuya G and Stop ICE Medical Neglect & Deportation
On December 7th, pressure from community members and medical professionals urged Philippine Airlines to recognize that Kuya G was medically unfit to fly and successfully stopped the deportation mid-process despite ICEโs insistence. This was a powerful testament of what collective action can accomplish, but the fight is still ongoing. Kuya G remains in detention, still without safe, adequate medical care, and he continues to face the imminent threat of deportation.
As medical professionals, health workers, and advocates, we have an ethical duty and a professional responsibility to speak out. Sign onto the letter at tinyurl.com/greggymedicalsignon.

Severe Tropical Storm Verbena, which made landfall on November 24, has brought heavy flooding and widespread damage to large parts of the Philippines, particularly in Visayas and Mindanao, forcing thousands to evacuate. This follows closely after the impacts of Typhoon Tino and Super Typhoon Uwan, with many communities still struggling to recover. Millions of Filipinos remain displaced as they face ongoing challenges from flooding, damaged infrastructure, loss of livelihood, and power outages. Support our ongoing relief efforts and get involved in our people to people response.

On November 21, health workers in the Philippines called for a Health Workers Day of Action Against Corruption. As concerned Filipinos overseas, we have seen the impacts of little to no funding of health care services for migrant communities. Over the past year since the new Trump administration was elected into office, there have been heightened attacks against migrants, those who have sought out for better livelihoods in the US to support their families in their home countries.
We are united in our calls: Uphold the health, rights, and dignity of all migrants! ICE out of hospitals!
