Valentine's Day Chocolate Fundraiser!
Time to dust off the trays and get back to it. We're doing a 10 day run fundraiser to get some chocolate lovin' to your loved ones on Valentines, and keep us going working to support our disaster responder and humanitarian aid worker population.
For those people who are joining us for a fundraiser for the first time, welcome and thank you. The way it works is for every $10 donated, we send you chocolates. Email us to let us know which of the 3 available types you would like.

Alrighty, back by request it's the chocolate gift fundraiser! This one will go from now until May 15th. If you missed the last one, the process is to donate and then email us with what you would like your thank you gift to look like and how to get it to you in the mail. The flavors on deck are the habanero-infused honey caramels and absinthe dark chocolates because the folks who got them last time are determined to get more.
As always, our most profound gratitude for all the continuing support. We couldn't do this without you.

We have just come back from our recent journey to Costa Rica, where we visited our Responder Recovery Center location and strengthened our relationships with our partners in Costa Rica. We plan to start sharing updates more frequently to keep our supporters informed about the progress of our exciting initiatives. Stay tuned for our upcoming fundraising event, which will offer some fantastic (and delicious) incentives for those who support us!

We’ve been working on the backstage side of things for about a year and a half now and it’s finally to the point where we can be moving on to building our first Responder Recovery Center. At the end of this month we are returning to our site in Costa Rica to get the materials and contractors on board to begin.
To kick off fundraising for 2024, our founder is generously donating a limited run of his handmade chocolates for us to offer as a thank you. While supplies last we can send you a chocolate for every donation of $10 or more that we receive by January 31st. Please let us know in the notes if you are interested and we will contact you for delivery instructions.

Welcome back, thanks for checking in. We’ve been pretty quiet for a while as we’ve been working on the more behind the scenes parts of getting a project site up and running such as finding opportunities, identifying problems, finding alternatives, sorting out permits, materials, local contractors and collaborators, and any issues that have come up along the way. A quick update: the site is beautiful and in progress, the legal round 1 has been sorted, and there is an initial permit for construction that will allow us to get started. Our partners have been incredibly supportive and we are very lucky to be working towards common goals alongside them. To see more in depth

Why We Do What We Do-
A little from our founder Jeremy about the driving force behind our mission

The Refuge Project needs your help! Jeremy (Merlin), our founder has been on the ground in Costa Rica for a few months now and is working hard to get this project off the ground- literally. He’s been in intensive meetings with our architect and partners in CR to craft a clear plan for a sustainable, low impact, and locally reproducible complex so that we can start building ASAP. We are seeking your donations to help ensure this project stays sustainable in the long term so that we can make our goal of having a safe, healing site for the humanitarians and global aid workers of the world a reality, a place for them to seek refuge from the grueling work they do while continue to grow their skills and community. Would you honor us with a tax- deductible donation?
