Surprising absolutely no one, we have not been building enough new homes since the start of 2023. But, as Mayor Breed notes, that has been changing thanks to hard work by her to change a lot of the underlying rules and make it easier. We will miss her steadfast support as a housing champion

Now it's up to our new Mayor and Board of Supervisors to continue the work. We can't stop now.
