Joined hundreds today as we commemorated the 250th anniversary of the , our former military post when San Francisco was a military town. The speakers and our Gold Star families reminded us that freedom endures because brave soldiers have fought for our American ideals and been willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. Yesterday the Take it Down Act went into effect, a bipartisan federal law requiring social networks to quickly remove AI-generated deepfakes and other nonconsensual imagery. My Office filed a lawsuit against 16 of the world’s largest websites that create and distribute nonconsensual AI-generated po*******hy, and so far 11 of those sites have been shut down. We hope the Take it Down Act will continue this progress to protect the public from and nonconsensual imagery.
