My Office filed a lawsuit today against a Tenderloin landlord for creating a public nuisance and allowing tenants to live in a fire-damaged building without power or other utilities for months.
Huge thank you to and who all came together to provide emergency services and support these tenants.

As of yesterday, only 19% of all San Francisco ballots have been submitted.
You have less than 12 hours to vote in-person or return a ballot by 8pm.
Visit SFelections.org or SoS.CA.gov/elections if you need information on how or where to vote.
Dr. King reminded us that “voting is the foundation stone of political action.” There’s too much at stake to sit this one out.

Great to team up today with our Attorney General to get out the vote for Scott Wiener for Congress.
Since our law school days, I’ve known Scott for over 30 years, and served alongside him on our Board of Supervisors and in the California Legislature. He is brilliant, tough and courageous. No one works harder than Scott; he never gives up until the job is done; and he has delivered results for San Francisco over and over again, while defending our communities from attacks by the federal government.
Tomorrow, June 2nd, is the last day to vote in-person or return a ballot by 8pm. Vote for Congress.
Happy Pride Month! You’re invited to march with me, my family & my ’s Office in SF’s 56th Annual Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28! It’s a moment to celebrate, as well as to march in solidarity as the Trump Administration continues to target our LGBTQ+ community.
One more reason to join this year: The Dusty Rhino will return to our parade contingent! The is not just a Burning Man arts project that literally breathes fire - it’s a community of DJs, builders, artists, and dancers.
Please RSVP using the link in my bio. Hope to see you there!

Joined hundreds today as we commemorated the 250th anniversary of the , our former military post when San Francisco was a military town. The speakers and our Gold Star families reminded us that freedom endures because brave soldiers have fought for our American ideals and been willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. On this Memorial Day, we salute all who have worn our country’s uniform and their families.

Amazing energy on the streets of the Mission today! Wonderful to join the Carnaval San Francisco parade, celebrating our Latin American communities and the upcoming World Cup. Thanks to everyone in the parade — the lowriders, dancers, singers, musicians, and soccer fans — as well as the event planners & Carnaval producer .
Excited to launch our nation’s largest electric school bus fleet alongside SF school leaders & our bus drivers. In the Legislature, I introduced the first bill to kickstart the electrification of our state’s school buses to reduce diesel exhaust & improve air quality. As a parent, I’m thrilled we’re investing in our kids’ health and a clean & green future.
I announced today that my Office filed a lawsuit against private equity backed in-home care company Arosa, for unlawfully misclassifying its employees and depriving them of overtime pay as well as meal and rest breaks.

Yesterday the Take it Down Act went into effect, a bipartisan federal law requiring social networks to quickly remove AI-generated deepfakes and other nonconsensual imagery. My Office filed a lawsuit against 16 of the world’s largest websites that create and distribute nonconsensual AI-generated po*******hy, and so far 11 of those sites have been shut down. We hope the Take it Down Act will continue this progress to protect the public from and nonconsensual imagery.
You can now legally request revenge and deepfake p**n to be taken down. Here’s how | CNN Business Online platforms are now required by law to remove non-consensual intimate images within 48 hours of reporting, as a federal law criminalizing the sharing of such content goes into full effect Tuesday.
