A group from MAX enjoyed wine tasting in Mexico’s Guadalupe Valley. We traveled round-trip from San Francisco on the Carnival Miracle cruise ship. Many thanks to David Petlin of Flair Travel who organized our private tour of three wineries and a fantastic lunch at Elena Restaurant.

MAX Forum: S*x, Drugs & Rock 'n Roll
Join MAX tonight, Friday, June 12th from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. for an online Zoom meeting discussion.
As we all spend more time at home, many of us are searching for ways to escape the social isolation of life in a pandemic. We are discovering new ways to be intimate (with ourselves or others), to relax with our favorite substance of choice, to lift ourselves up with music - from rock to opera. Join MAX for this virtual meeting, where we will have a lighthearted discussion about intimacy, mood altering substances and music. We also will discuss some recommendations from Dan Savage about safe s*x in the current environment. There is no charge for this event, but space is limited to 30 participants.

MAX GOES TO THE OPERA, Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
Join event co-champions Bruce Cecil and Michael Meehan online on Tuesday, April 21st at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the New York Metropolitan Opera’s production of The Exterminating Angel.
The opera tells the story of a group of elegant socialites who gather for a lavish dinner party but find themselves unable to escape when it is time to leave. As the days pass, their behavior becomes increasingly erratic and savage. This critically acclaimed opera provides timely and fertile ground for conversation relating the experiences of the opera’s characters to our own current lives, where we find ourselves trapped in our own physically isolated and restricted environments, day after day with no clear end in sight.
For more details on the opera, how to watch the opera in advance, and how to register to participate in the online discussion, click here: https://bit.ly/2ynLOM2.
