IHDC helps Tenderloin residents become citizens, learn English, access food, and navigate the educational, public health and criminal justice systems.

IHDC’s first work was renovating two buildings containing 117 units, now home to 350 residents. IHDC committed itself to building community within its buildings and the Tenderloin as a whole through programs driven by community need.
