Konsul Jenderal RI San Francisco, Yohpy Wardana, menerima kunjungan sekitar 20 mahasiswa Indonesia penerima beasiswa LPDP yang tergabung dalam Asosiasi Mata Garuda yang tengah menempuh studi Magister dan Doktoral di Amerika Serikat, pada 10 April 2026 di Wisma Indonesia. Dalam suasana hangat dan inspiratif, Konjen Yohpy mendorong para mahasiswa untuk terus mengasah kapasitas, kompetensi, dan jejaring, agar di mana pun berada tetap dapat memberi kontribusi nyata bagi kemajuan Indonesia.
Sebelumnya, delegasi mengikuti rangkaian Company Visit ke kantor pusat Meta dan Apple, yang membuka wawasan tentang ekosistem inovasi sekaligus memperluas jejaring di pusat teknologi dunia. Melalui sinergi antara pemerintah, akademisi, dan diaspora, KJRI San Francisco terus mendorong lahirnya talenta Indonesia yang unggul, adaptif, dan mampu bersaing di panggung global.

The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in San Francisco, Yohpy Wardana, received a visit from approximately 20 Indonesian students, awardees of the LPDP scholarship & members of the Mata Garuda Association, who are currently pursuing Master’s and Doctoral degrees in the United States, on April 10, 2026, at the Indonesian Residence. In a warm and inspiring exchange, Consul General Yohpy encouraged the students to continuously strengthen their capacity, competencies, and networks, so that wherever they are, they can contribute meaningfully to Indonesia’s development.
Prior to the meeting, the delegation took part in the Mata Garuda Day Company Visit program to Meta and Apple, gaining valuable insights into the innovation ecosystem while expanding their professional networks at the heart of the global technology hub. Through close collaboration among government, academia, and the diaspora, the Consulate General of Indonesia in San Francisco remains committed to nurturing Indonesian talent that is competitive, adaptable, and ready to contribute on the global stage.

KJRI San Francisco memperkuat kolaborasi dengan mahasiswa Indonesia bersama BISA (Berkeley Indonesian Student Association) dan PERMIAS SFBA melalui Nusantara Fest 2026 pada 25 April di SOMArts Cultural Center. Selama lebih dari satu dekade, festival ini menjadi wadah promosi budaya dan kuliner Indonesia sekaligus ruang interaksi lintas budaya di Bay Area.

Didukung penuh oleh Konjen RI San Francisco, Yohpy Wardana, Nusantara Fest menegaskan peran strategis mahasiswa sebagai duta bangsa dan penghubung dengan ekosistem global. Kolaborasi ini juga membuka peluang jejaring, inovasi, dan kerja sama pendidikan untuk memperkuat visibilitas Indonesia di dunia.

The Indonesian Consulate in San Francisco strengthens collaboration with Indonesian students, including BISA and PERMIAS SFBA, through Nusantara Fest 2026 on April 25 at SOMArts Cultural Center. For over a decade, this festival has showcased Indonesia’s rich culture and cuisine while fostering cross-cultural engagement in the Bay Area.

With full support from Consul General Yohpy Wardana, Nusantara Fest highlights students’ strategic role as cultural ambassadors and global connectors. This collaboration also expands opportunities in networking, innovation, and educational partnerships, enhancing Indonesia’s global presence.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in San Francisco continues to strengthen Indonesia’s education diplomacy in the United States. On March 27, 2026, Consul General Yohpy Ichsan Wardana paid a courtesy call to the President of the Naval Postgraduate School, Ann E. Rondeau, on the sidelines of the Winter Quarter Commencement Ceremony.

The meeting reaffirmed a shared commitment to expanding educational cooperation and increasing Indonesian student participation at NPS. President Rondeau also expressed appreciation for the active role of the Consulate and highlighted Indonesia’s significant contribution, with a total of 345 alumni from both master’s and doctoral programs.

KJRI San Francisco terus memperkuat diplomasi pendidikan Indonesia di Amerika Serikat. Pada 27 Maret 2026, Konsul Jenderal RI Yohpy Ichsan Wardana melakukan kunjungan kehormatan kepada Presiden Naval Postgraduate School, Ann E. Rondeau, di sela-sela Winter Quarter Commencement Ceremony.

Pertemuan tersebut menegaskan komitmen bersama untuk memperluas kerja sama pendidikan serta mendorong peningkatan partisipasi mahasiswa Indonesia di NPS. Presiden NPS turut mengapresiasi peran aktif KJRI San Francisco, sekaligus menyoroti kontribusi signifikan Indonesia dengan total 345 alumni dari program magister dan doktoral.

The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in San Francisco continues to play a strategic role in strengthening Indonesia–California relations. On March 26, Consul General Yohpy Wardana met with Stephanie Nguyen, Assemblymember from California’s District 10, to initiate discussions on a historic visit of the California State Legislature delegation to Jakarta in July 2026.

This milestone underscores KJRI’s proactive diplomacy in advancing cooperation in clean energy, technology, human capital, and education. With around 20 delegates, including business leaders, the visit is expected to foster concrete partnerships and strengthen long-term institutional ties between Indonesia and California.
