🚨Call to Action🚨
Earlier today the SFVYD Board voted to oppose H.R. 7147 and/or the entire $1.2 trillion federal spending bill package.
Our ask is simple, call the district offices of U.S. Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff to tell them to vote NO on H.R. 7147
Unless:
(1) The federal government conducts a full investigation into the shooting deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good by ICE agents. The State of Minnesota and relevant agencies must be allowed to conduct a full, unobstructed investigation to hold ICE agents accountable. Every U.S. State and Territory must be allowed to independently investigate any deaths that occur while in ICE or CBP custody. Congress must prevent targeted political relation and demand the federal government withdraw its occupation of Democratic-led states.
(2) The U.S. Department of Homeland Security adopts broad scope transparency measures including, but not limited to body cameras on all agents, self identification upon request, and prohibition of masks that conceal personal identification.
