Kick off at the opening reception for The Unbuilding Archive: Liberated Futures for the Site of Compton's Cafeteria Riot — a new exhibition in the Hormel LGBTQIA Center that imagines an alternative future while honoring the legacy of resistance at the intersection of Turk x Taylor Streets in the Tenderloin.
Featuring historic photographs, maps, archival materials and new art from local artists, the exhibition centers trans liberation while recognizing that all systems of domination are intertwined.

Tomorrow, National Creativity Day, come draw from the movie La Llorona. Basic materials are provided, and all levels are welcome. This is a wonderful way to let go and explore your creativity. There is no instruction or feedback, but there is an opportunity to share drawings at the end. and due to pauses for drawing, the full film will not be shown. Saturday May 30th, 11 AM - 1 PM at the Main Library in the Latino/Hispanic Room (Lower Level). Join us!
