As UC resident physicians unite across the state in historic action, I join them in solidarity calling on University of California and UCSF Health to come to the table and bargain in good faith.

UC resident physicians show up for our patients every single day. Now it's our turn to show up for them. As the cost of living across California continues to rise, resident physicians are increasingly being forced to make impossible choices between caring for our patients and maintaining their own financial stability and well-being. They deserve fair pay for all residency and fellowship programs, benefit protections, and essential workplace safety measures.

Today we kicked off the global celebration of Bloomsday, in honor of the Irish writer James Joyce! Bloomsday and Beyond is an event co-hosted by SFMTA and the Consulate General of Ireland.

Bloomsday and Beyond events are being held along the L Taraval for readings, storytelling, and free book giveaways. The event starts in downtown and ends at the United Irish Cultural Center. More information can be found on SFMTA’s website!

Yesterday, we welcomed the 24 Hour Fitness back to Ocean Avenue following their renovation with Ocean Avenue Association! They are back with brand new recovery facilities to support residents in their fitness and wellness goals. Come check them out while their friends and family offer is active.
