Taking the place of our Filmmakers in Residence Program, JFI's DocLab offers with the opportunity to bring their film to the next level! All docs at any stage of the creative process are encouraged to apply to the only U.S.-based fellowship dedicated to Jewish-content .

We're so excited that D'Arcy Drollinger's "Lady Champagne" is the Opening Night film for Frameline50!

A fierce lampooning of classic sexploitation flicks as well as a loving homage to ‘80s slapstick comedies like "The Naked Gun", "Lady Champagne" is a non-stop camp extravaganza that doubles the silly and triples the laughs of its predecessor — all born from the mind of director, writer, star, and San Francisco drag scene staple D'Arcy Drollinger.

The birth of the Frameline Film Festival – From shadows on a bedsheet to an international event As Frameline celebrates 50th anniversary, surviving cofounders Marc Huestis, Ric Mears and Daniel Nicoletta shared their memories of the film festival's humble beginnings, when Super 8 short films were shown in a crowded loft with no seats, but a lot of cameraderie.

Celebration is part of how we resist. Come roll with us! After the films, we are headed next door to Presidio Bowl for the second annual Opening Night "Glow in the Dark" Party Bowl, co-hosted with our folks at Cinemama!

Come meet the filmmakers and keep mingling with the other folks who showed up for Opening Night. We've reserved four exclusive lanes for you and your crew.
