The Bay Area’s public transit system is at a critical juncture, facing long-term funding challenges, potential service cuts, and major decisions on the ballot this November. Join Alice for a panel discussion on the state of transit and what lies ahead for the Bay Area.
Featuring Edward Wright, Director on the BART Board of Directors; Alicia Jean-Baptiste, San Francisco’s Chief of Infrastructure, Climate, and Mobility; and Mike Chen, Director on the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency Board of Directors, this conversation will cover how we got here and what the November transit measures mean for voters.
Whether you ride every day or care about the city’s future, this program will provide the context needed to understand the challenges and choices that lie ahead.

The Alice B. Toklas LGBTQ Democratic Club is sounding the alarm on FISA. Expanding surveillance powers without meaningful oversight puts our civil liberties at risk, especially for LGBTQ people, activists, and marginalized communities. We know too well how government surveillance has been used against us before. We need transparency, accountability, and real protections.
