At our October 16th Special General PTA Meeting, 2nd District PTA voted to adopt positions on four important measures on the November 3, 2026 ballot. Please see the images for our positions, along with our California State PTA’s adopted positions on statewide propositions.

Each position on the four measures was developed by a 2nd District PTA Study Committee that researched the content, background, impact, and PTA authorities associated with each measure. The resulting recommendations were reviewed and approved by our Executive Board, then formally adopted by a vote of our SF PTA/PTSA units' association members during our 10/16 meeting. These are now official positions that our association adopted for advocacy. Learn more about our positions here:

While individual members are certainly free to vote as they choose, the purpose of adopting positions is to advocate for the outcomes PTA believes will best serve children, youth, teachers, and families. We encourage you to read and share these positions with your PTA/PTSA members in your school community.

Reminder: California State PTA, SF/2nd District PTA, and all PTA/PTSA units, remain nonpartisan. We never endorse or oppose candidates or political parties. We do take positions on ballot measures that directly affect children, youth, and families as part of our PTA Advocacy.

Please join us for a brief virtual 2nd District Special General Association Meeting on Friday, October 16, from 12:00–12:20 p.m. on Zoom.

Your participation is important as we vote on 2nd District PTA’s positions on four measures on the November 2026 San Francisco ballot. We need at least 25 different SF PTA/PTSA board officers or general members to join our meeting to meet our minimum quorum to vote on the proposition positions.

Business: Vote to adopt the 2nd District PTA Executive Board’s recommended positions on four San Francisco Propositions: C, D, H, and I. The recommendations are based on the 2nd District PTA Ballot Measure Study Group’s review of each measure and applicable PTA authorities.

This is a great chance to learn about measures affecting children, youth, families, and teachers/staff in this city. Your vote at our meeting will decide if 2D PTA can continue with our positions on these propositions and share them with all our PTA/PTSA units and their school communities ahead of the 11/3 Election Day.
