TWO PINOY-ANIMATED FILMS TO SHINE AT ANNECY 2025

Two Filipino animated projects are headed to the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival—one of the most prestigious events in the industry. Bobby Pontillas and Bernard Badion’s Sun Chaser joins the MIFA Pitches for TV specials, while Avid Liongoren’s Zsazsa Zaturnnah is featured under “Work In Progress Features” to help fund its completion.

The Film Development Council of the Philippines will hold the "I Animate" Animation Film Festival from April 24 to May 7.

The event is a celebration of animated films and the animators who create them. It will feature talkback sessions with various figures in the animation industry, as well as screenings of acclaimed local and international animated films.

The films will be screened in select SM Cinemas and Cinematheque Centres nationwide. The official list of cinemas has yet to be announced, so stay tuned!
