Experience Carl Orff’s iconic Carmina Burana paired with Vivaldi’s Gloria, performed by the Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra & Chorus led by Swiss native Maestro Urs Leonhardt Steiner.

As part of the program, supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in the United States of America and Consulate General of Switzerland in San Francisco, the ‘Carmina Burana’ Choir from Engadin will also perform four traditional Romansh songs, bringing the sounds of Switzerland’s fourth official language to the Bay Area. Specifically assembled for this occasion, the ensemble unites six members of different choirs across the Engadin region.

Can’t make it this time? No worries! This summer, the production continues in the Swiss Alps as part of an international collaboration with the Festival Scuol Classics and the Scuol/Tarasp Bureau! Start planning your trip!

The work draws you into a meditative space, while exposing the hidden environmental cost behind digital imagery and AI systems. It blurs simulation and reality, asking us to reconsider our relationship to water, technology, and nature.

What does it mean to truly care for water — not just manage it, but treat it as a living part of our shared world? 🌊

As part of Hidden Currencies: Water Justice in the Age of AI, this conversation on water stewardship and Indigenous knowledge brings together speakers rethinking water not as a resource, but as a living system.

Following a 15 – minute preview of the documentary Undamming Klamath, a Swiftwater Production directed by Shane Anderson, the discussion will explore what the largest dam removal project in U.S. history reveals about collaboration, Indigenous stewardship, and freshwater futures under climate pressure.
