Endless gratitude to the powerhouse crew who made this year’s Horizons College Tour possible. šŸ™ŒšŸ½

To our Horizons staff, our incredible coordinators, Chris from , Michelle from LifeWorks, and Erick—our Academic Resource Specialist—thank you for showing up fully, consistently, and with so much heart and love.

And for the first time in my tenure, we were joined by Case Manager Joshawn Tupuola from The Samoan Community Development Center ( ) as a support chaperone. His presence marked a beautiful moment of true collaboration—proof that when we come together across orgs, we amplify the love, the care, and the accountability our youth deserve.

Without deeply committed individuals like you, experiences like this don’t hit as deep or hold as much meaning. Thank you for lending your minds, your bodies, and your spirits in the name of community care.

Let’s run it back next year!

With deep appreciation,
Nancy Abdul-Shakur
Program Director šŸ’›

🚨 HORIZONS LIFEWORKS COLLEGE TOUR 2025 🚨

We’re back at it! Our youth leaders have hit these NYC streets for our 3rd out-of-state college tour — exploring campuses, meeting changemakers, and dreaming BIG.

This trip is more than a tour — it’s a rite of passage. A journey of possibility. A reminder that they belong in every room, every classroom, and every future they dare to imagine.

Grateful for our Horizons leadership, chaperones, staff, and every supporter who believes in our youth as much as we do. The road to college is paved with community, courage, and vision — and this crew has all three.

Stay tuned for updates from the road. This is only the beginning!
