“I am proud that I became someone my patients can look up to. As a counselor, I get to show people that change is possible because I lived it myself. CCSF helped me rebuild confidence in who I am, not just as a student, but as a husband, counselor, and person. For me, graduating is not just about earning degrees. It is about breaking cycles, creating a better future, and proving that it is never too late to start over and succeed.”

It is a reminder that all the hard work, sacrifices, and dedication were worth it, and it motivates me to continue pursuing my future goals.”

Dress up & experience the Marlene Dietrich classic Morocco, with a lively pre-show on its legacy & a Q&A with filmmaker and CCSF Cinema Department faculty Denah Johnston.
Step into a night of glamour and public domain history.
Join the Internet Archive for a special screening of Morocco (1930), the classic film—newly in the public domain this year—that stunned audiences with Marlene Dietrich’s unforgettable tuxedoed performance. Nearly a century later, it remains a touchstone of gender expression in Pre-Hays Code film.
Come dressed in your own take on Top Hat & Tails—from classic elegance to bold reinterpretation—and be part of the spectacle.
The evening begins with a pre-show talk from filmmaker and scholar Denah Johnston to place the film in its historical context. Then, settle in for a full screening of the film, surrounded by fellow lovers of cinema, style, and rebellion. After the screening, Johnston will host a Q&A with the audience, exploring Morocco’s lasting impact on cultural history.

“I will miss the community-oriented focus at CCSF, where the needs of San Franciscans are met as best we could. That goal is noble in of itself, but to be surrounded by people as dedicated to that cause as much as myself - always trying to do the right thing for the people - that will always stick with me, and I will always be grateful for this experience.”

Chancellor Kimberlee Johnson Messina joined the CCSF Board of Trustees in honoring the Engineering Club's Success at the 2026 California Solar Regatta (Sponsored by SMUD). Students designed "The Boat" with an efficient and swift four rudder system that put them one mile ahead of the closest competitor on the water. CCSF won four trophies, including Best Design, Technical. Over 32 students are on the team, under the guidance of Professor Keith Mueller. About 20 students attended the competition at Rancho Seco Recreational Area. Just one student, Matthew Wolf, Mechanical Engineering major, was the boat pilot. "The Boat," with Matt at the helm, won the sprint, slalom, and the entire race (but a technicality put their mile-ahead position in 2nd Place overall) for the Post Secondary category. We are SO PROUD of CCSF Engineering Club. Go RAMS!
