The United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), also known as the “Earth Summit”, opened on June 3, 1992.
The Conference concluded that the concept of sustainable development was an attainable goal for all the people of the world, sparking a lively debate within governments and between governments and their citizens on how to ensure sustainability for development.

Bespoke tailoring in Shanghai
Once an area of fabric stalls in the 90s, the South Bund Soft Spinning Material Market in Huangpu district now hosts nearly 300 bespoke tailoring shops. Forty percent of its customers are foreigners, contributing 70 percent of its sales. Stitch by stitch, it has become Shanghai’s new must-see thanks to bespoke tailoring.

Meet Lucky Chick, a character inspired by the famous Ming Dynasty doucai chicken cup, which sold at auction for HK$281 million (about $36 million). The character's name also carries a cultural twist. In Chinese, the word for "chicken" (ji) sounds similar to the word for "good fortune" (ji).
