YerevaNN announces the release of language models for optimizing small organic molecules: Chemlactica-125M, Chemlactica-1.3B, and Chemma-2B, built on Galactica and Gemma.

YerevaNN’s 40B token training corpus, featuring 100M+ SMILES from PubChem and various molecular properties, is now available on HuggingFace.

These models excel in predicting basic molecular properties and generating molecules conditioned on those properties. With supervised fine-tuning, they can predict new properties with competitive results.

The highlight is the LM-enhanced optimization algorithm, inspired by NVIDIA AI’s RetMol. The smallest model outperforms existing methods, producing high-quality drug-like molecule variants with 99% accuracy and 5x fewer oracle calls.

YerevaNN’s models also achieve state-of-the-art results on the Practical Molecular Optimization benchmark, curated by Wenhao Gao et al., and are 2-4x more sample-efficient on docking score maximization tasks.

Developed and pretrained with A100s at Yerevan State University and H100 Cloud GPUs from Nebius AI, YerevaNN’s work was supported by a Yandex Armenia fellowship.

✔️The Seaside Startup Summit, held from July 21 to 27, brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and startup founders to foster a thriving business environment in our region. This event supports local startup development and promotes sustainable collaboration within the ecosystem.

The summit featured a prize fund, educational programs, and panel discussions. True to tradition, it welcomed independent investors and representatives from venture capital funds worldwide.

For the first time, within the framework of the Seaside Startup Summit, the regional was held from July 24-27, 2024. The event featured:

- 3-day high-level conference: Covering a wide range of critical topics including Digital Farming Solutions, Advanced Digital Technologies in Agriculture, Advanced Agrobiotechnologies, and more.

- Agrithon Startup Competition: Agritech enthusiasts had the opportunity to showcase groundbreaking solutions, compete for prestigious prizes, and gain industry recognition.

- Awards Ceremony: Celebrating excellence and honoring leaders at the forefront of agricultural innovation and sustainability.

Avetik Grigoryan from Bazoomq has been honored with the National Assembly President's Medal for his outstanding contributions to the development of education and science. This coincides with the commencement of works on Hayasat-2, the second Armenian satellite, promising to further elevate Armenia's presence in the global space community.
