मिति २०८३ साल जेठ २२ गते तदनुसार जुन ०५ तारिख सन् २०२६ का दिन महावाणिज्यदूत श्री लक्ष्मण खनालले ओरेगन राज्यको Cornelius City का माननीय मेयर Mr. Jeffrey C. Dalin र सिटी म्यानेजर Mr. Peter Brandom सँग Cornelius City Hall मा शिष्टाचार भेट गर्नुभएको थियो । सो अवसरमा युजिन शहर र नेपालबीच आर्थिक, सांस्कृतिक एवम् जनस्तरको सम्बन्ध प्रवर्द्धनसम्बन्धी विषयमा छलफल भएको थियो ।

नयाँ राहदानी बुझिलिने सम्बन्धी सूचना

विभिन्न मितिमा यस महावाणिज्यदूतावासमार्फत राहदानीका लागि आवेदन गर्नु भएका यसैसाथ संलग्न सूचीबमोजिमका २२३ जना आवेदकहरूको राहदानी तयारी भई महावाणिज्यदूतावासमा प्राप्त भएको जानकारी गराइन्छ। यस सूचीमा नाम नभएका आवेदकहरूको राहदानी काठमाडौंमा छपाईकै क्रममा रहेको हुँदा अर्को सूचीको प्रतीक्षा गर्न अनुरोध गरिन्छ।

महावाणिज्यदूतावासमा फिर्ती खाम (return/pre-paid envelope) बुझाई सक्नुभएका आवेदकहरूको राहदानी अब १–२ दिनभित्रै सम्बन्धित व्यक्तिको ठेगानामा हुलाकमार्फत पठाइनेछ।

महावाणिज्यदूतावासमा स्वयं उपस्थित भएर वा आफ्नो नाम/ठेगानाको फिर्ती खाम (return/pre-paid envelope) हुलाकमार्फत पठाएर राहदानी बुझिलिन सक्नुहुनेछ।

हुलाकमार्फत राहदानी बुझिलिन चाहने आवेदकहरूले आफ्नो पूरा नाम र ठेगाना खुलाइ फिर्ती खाम (return/pre-paid envelope) यस महावाणिज्यदूतावासको नाम र ठेगाना (Name: Consulate General of Nepal, Address: 505 Beach Street, Suite 130, San Francisco, CA 94133) मा पठाउन सक्नुहुनेछ।

फिर्ती खाम पठाउँदा अनिवार्य रूपमा Shipment Tracking Number सहितको खाम पठाउनुपर्नेछ। फिर्ती खाममा Return Label नभएको, राहदानी पाउने व्यक्तिको ठेगाना वा विवरण अपूरो भएको जस्ता कारणले गर्दा महावाणिज्यदूतावासबाट पठाएको राहदानी सम्बन्धित व्यक्तिको ठेगानामा नपुगेमा वा अलपत्र परेमा वा हराएमा त्यसका लागि महावाणिज्यदूतावास जिम्मेवार हुने छैन।

फिर्ती खाम पठाउँदा आफ्नो पुरानो राहदानी र राजस्व तिरेको रसिदको सक्कल नै खाममा राखेर पठाउनु होला। हराएको राहदानी नवीकरणको लागि आवेदन गरेको भए राजस्व तिरेको सक्कल रसिद र हराएको राहदानीको फोटोकपी खाममा राखेर पठाउनु होला।

राहदानी बुझिलिनको लागि आवेदक स्वयं आउँदा पुरानो राहदानी र राजस्व तिरेको सक्कल रसिद साथमा लिएर आउनुपर्नेछ। हराएको राहदानीको सट्टामा नयाँ राहदानी आवेदन दिएका व्यक्तिहरूको हकमा राजस्व तिरेको सक्कल रसिद साथमा लिएर आउनुपर्नेछ।

पोर्टल्याण्डमा सञ्चालन गरिने राहदानी तथा कन्सुलर घुम्ती सेवा थप १ दिनको लागि विस्तार गरिएको सम्बन्धी सूचना!
नेपाली महावाणिज्यदूतावास, सान फ्रान्सिस्कोद्वारा ओरेगन राज्यको पोर्टल्याण्डमा सञ्चालन गरिने घुम्ती सेवा अन्तर्गत मिति ०६ जुन २०२६ (तदनुसार २०८३ जेठ २३ गते) शनिबारका लागि खुला गरिएको राहदानीको Pre-Enrollment Slot पूर्ण रूपमा भरिएको तथा राहदानी सम्बन्धी सेवा लिन थप सेवाग्राहीहरू इच्छुक रहेको जानकारी प्राप्त भएकोले उक्त घुम्ती सेवालाई थप एक दिन विस्तार गरी मिति ०७ जुन २०२६ (तदनुसार २०८३ जेठ २४ गते) आइतबारका दिनसमेत राहदानी सम्बन्धी सेवा प्रदान गर्ने व्यवस्था गरिएको छ।
तसर्थ, इच्छुक सेवाग्राहीहरूले देहाय बमोजिमको मिति, समय तथा स्थानमा उपस्थित भई आवश्यक सेवा प्राप्त गर्नुहुन अनुरोध गरिन्छ।
दोस्रो दिनको घुम्ती सेवा आयोजना हुने मिति, समय र स्थान:
मितिः 07 जुन २०२६ (तदनुसार २०८3 जेष्ठ 24 गते) आइतबार
समयः अपरान्ह 1:30 बजे देखि 4:०० बजेसम्म।

पुनश्चः 6 र 7 जुन 2०२६ लागि खुल्ला गरिएको Pre Enrollment Slots केवल Portland मा सञ्चालन हुने राहदानी घुम्ती सेवाकालागि मात्र उपलब्ध गराइएकोले अन्य आवेदकहरूले उक्त दिनको राहदानी फाराम नभर्नुहुन अनुरोध गरिन्छ। उक्त दिन नेपाली महावाणिज्यदूतावस, सान फ्रान्सिस्को बन्द रहने बेहोरासमेत जानकारी गराइन्छ।

अनिवार्य रूपमा अनलाइन फाराम भरेर (Pre-Enrollment गरेर) मात्रै सेवाको लागि महावाणिज्यदूतावासमा आउने सम्बन्धमा।

अनलाइन फाराम नभरेको आवेदकको राहदानी नविकरणको प्रक्रिया अघि बढाउन नसकिने व्यहोरा सम्बन्धित सबैलाई विभिन्न मितिका सूचनाहरूमार्फत् जानकारी गराइएकैछ । तथापि केही दिनदेखि यस महावाणिज्यदूतावासमा आउने अधिकांश सेवाग्राहीहरू अनलाइन फाराम (Pre-Enrollment) बिना नै राहदानी सेवाको लागि आउने गरेको हुँदा सेवा प्रवाह र प्राप्तिमा असहजता उत्पन्न भएको छ ।

तसर्थ, सहजताका लागि अनिवार्य रुपमा अनलाइन फाराम भरेर फाराममा तोकिएको मिति र समयमा मात्र राहदानी सेवाको लागि महावाणिज्यदूतावासमा आउनहुन सम्बन्धित सबैमा अनुरोध गरिन्छ ।

राहदानी आवेदनका लागि अनलाइन फाराम भर्नुपूर्व यस महावाणिज्यदूतावासको वेबसाइटमा राखिएको राहदानी आवेदनसम्बन्धी सबै जानकारी राम्ररी पढेर मात्रै आवेदन गर्नुहुनसमेत सम्बन्धित सबैमा अनुरोध गरिन्छ । राहदानी आवेदनसम्बन्धी जानकारी तलको लिंकमा दिइएको छः

International Everest Day-2026 Celebrated in San Francisco

International Everest Day 2026 celebrated in San Francisco
The Consulate General of Nepal in San Francisco organized International Everest Day 2026 at Nepali Community Center in Richmond City in San Francisco Bay Area on May 29, 2026. The event commenced with a video message from Hon. Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Shishir Khanal, issued on the occasion of this year’s Everest Day being celebrated with the slogan ‘Sagarmatha, the Highest Peak of the World: Identity and Pride of Nepal’.

Addressing the event, Consul General of Nepal in San Francisco Mr. Lakshuman Khanal shed light on the importance of Everest Day. Presenting the rich tapestry of nature, culture and history of Nepal, he encouraged the participants to visit Nepal as their next travel destination. He also referred to the formation of a strongly mandated government in Nepal in March 2026 with two overarching goals of good governance and economic progress. Touching upon the investment supportive policy reforms and incentives being introduced by the government, he requested all participants to advise their businesses to explore the emerging investment market in Nepal especially in infrastructure, tourism and service sector, including in IT industries.

Mr. John Y. Choi, Regional Director at the Office of the Foreign Mission of the State Department in San Francisco, congratulated Nepal and Nepalis on the remarkable occasion of commemorating the first ascent of Everest. He also highlighted the increasing relations between Nepal and the USA at all levels with reference to the recent visits from senior US officials to Nepal and the density of engagements between the two sides.

Similarly, Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of California Mr. Evan Reade laid out the increasing connections between California and Nepal, the gateway of opportunities and imagination and the gateway of the Himalayas. He pointed to the deepening connections between the peoples of California and Nepal as well as broadening levels of partnerships. He conveyed the wish of California to continue to build bridges through trade, tourism, education, environmental stewardship, among others.
A separate video introducing on all eight 8000ers in Nepal was played during the event.

Mayor of Richmond City Hon. Mr. Eduardo Martinez expressed his happiness on celebrating the much important occasion for Nepal and for the world. He shared his pride in hosting a considerable size of Nepali population in the city which has added tremendous value to the fabric and economic growth of the city.
Elected Council Member of Hercules City Mr. Dilli Bhattarai referred to the historicity of the first ascent of Mt. Everest by Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary 73 years ago and inspiration it has continued to infuse to mankind to rise higher and to move further ahead. Researcher at University of California in Berkely Ms. Nima Sherpa shared findings of her research on the impacts of climate change in the Everest region.

Four Everest summiteers from the Bay Area were felicitated with letters of appreciation during the event. Mr. Lhakpa Norbu Sherpa, a 5-time summiteer recounted his experience of climbing Mt. Everest while also highlighting the climate change impacts in the high Himalaya region. Ms. Megha Sharma shared her ‘memorable journey’ to the Everest Base camp and inspired the participants to visit Nepal. Dr. Faith Boucher, professor at University of California in Davis and a former Peace Corps volunteer, shared her ‘amazing experience’ about Nepal and the Nepali people.

The event was attended by more than 70 participants comprising government officials, members of San Francisco Consular Corps, friends of Nepal belonging to various agencies and associations, Professors and academicians from University of California in Davis, University of California in Berkely, Stanford University, University of San Francisco, Nepali entrepreneurs and scholars in the Bay Area as well as representatives of Nepali community organizations in the Bay Area and Sacramento.
