SHAMEFUL: The Trump administration plans to repeal a rule requiring companies to report their greenhouse gas emissions, claiming the rule puts too much financial burden on companies.

They’re selling out our planet to help corporations get richer.

THE TRUMP-REPUBLICAN ECONOMIC SLUMP CONTINUES:
*. Americans are losing confidence in the economy under Donald Trump and Republican control of Washington. New Gallup polling shows economic confidence has dropped to a nearly four-year low.
*. Just 16% of Americans rate the economy as “excellent” or “good,” while nearly half say the economy is “poor.”
*. Republicans control the White House, House of Representatives, and Senate - and are fully responsible for the nation’s economic slump.
*. Three out of four Americans say economic conditions are getting worse, not better.
*. Consumer sentiment has now fallen to its lowest point since the University of Michigan began tracking it in 1952.
*. Trump promised to lower costs, but families are facing higher prices everywhere they turn, from groceries to gas pumps.
*. Inflation and rising costs are wiping out household budgets, and Americans are increasingly naming gas prices and the cost of living as top concerns.
*. Trump’s own approval rating has dropped to just 36%, his lowest since returning to office.
*. Californians understand that working families need relief, stability, and leadership focused on affordability — not political chaos and economic uncertainty.
*. California Democrats remain focused on protecting jobs, lowering costs, defending health care access, and building an economy that works for everyone, not just billionaires and corporate insiders.
*. As voters head toward the midterms, the contrast is becoming clearer every day: Democrats are fighting to lower costs and protect working families, while Republicans continue to defend policies that are driving economic anxiety and instability.

CAST YOUR BALLOT TODAY IN THE JUNE 2 PRIMARY:
*. If you’ve received your ballot in the mail, please make your voice heard and cast your ballot TODAY!
*. On or before June 2, ballots can be dropped in official drop boxes, turned in at vote centers, or returned by mail (with a postmark on or before Election Day).
*. If you’re not already registered to vote, eligible voters can conditionally register at a county elections office, polling place or vote center. The ballot will be counted once the county verifies the registration. More information here.
*. Early in-person voting is already happening in many counties.
*. California uses a top-two primary system, meaning the two highest vote-getters advance to the General Election, regardless of party.
*. That makes turnout decisive: your participation will determine who makes the November ballot, including in the California Governor’s race and competitive Congressional races.
*. If California voters have questions or encounter issues related to elections and voting, our CADEM Voter Protection Hotline operators will take calls at 1-877-321-8683(VOTE) until the polls close on June 2, Election Day!
*. For more voting information, please visit cadem.org/vote.
