In the heart of the bustling slum of Huruma lies a hidden gem - Motivated Mindsets dancers studio. This studio is not just a place for kids to learn dance moves, but a safe haven for their mental health and well-being. In a community where poverty and violence are rampant, Motivated Mindsets provides a sanctuary for these young souls to escape from their harsh realities and find solace in the art of dance.
For many of the children who walk through the doors of the studio, Motivated Mindsets is more than just a dance class - it is a place where they can create a sense of family and belonging. In a neighborhood where broken families and neglect are all too common, the studio offers a sense of unity and camaraderie that these kids may not find elsewhere. The bonds formed here are strong and enduring, providing much-needed support and love in the face of adversity.Deborah Engerman: Ballet Teacher, Coach, ChoreographerDance Education Laboratory (DEL)MTM AwardsEzekiel MutuaHilary Duff@followers

The Motivated Mindset Dancers have not let their circumstances define them. They have risen above the limitations of their environment and have achieved great success in the world of dance. With their unique style and infectious energy, they have garnered recognition and accolades, winning numerous awards and accolades for their outstanding performances. But their mission goes beyond just winning competitions – they are on a mission to inspire and uplift the youth in their community through the power of dance and education.
At the core of their philosophy is the belief in the transformative power of a motivated mindset. They understand that success is not just about talent or skill, but about having the right attitude and mindset to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness. Through their performances, workshops, and outreach programs, they aim to instill this mindset in the young minds of Huruma and Mathare, empowering them to dream big and reach for the stars.
One of the key pillars of their work is mental education. They understand that education is not just about academics, but also about nurturing the mind and soul. Through workshops and seminars, they teach the youth about the importance of self-belief, resilience, and perseverance. They encourage them to set goals, work hard, and never give up on their dreams. They believe that by instilling these values in the youth, they can create a generation of leaders and change-makers who will transform their communities and the world at large.
But the Motivated Mindset Dancers cannot do it alone. They need the support of sponsors, donors, well-wishers, and trustees to help them in their mission. By coming together and pooling their resources, they can provide the youth of Huruma and Mathare with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. Whether it is through financial support, mentorship, or volunteering, every contribution counts and mak

The Arts program is designed so that participating youth can receive instruction from qualified instructors, studios and performance groups. All dance forms are included in this program. Instruction must be provided at a social service site such as a community center or school in order to qualify for this program.
Partial funding of the program is through social service and major performance group/hall partnership. This funding may be provided in the form of scholarships to the participating youth.
The initial program is funded for a 12 week period. At the end this service period a recital is presented in a major venue to the general public. The program can be extended at the discretion of the community partners.
This program provides participating youth the experience of the Dance Life in a professional manner.
