The County of Santa Clara Vector Control District remains committed to protecting Santa Clara County from insects and wildlife that can spread disease. The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office Custody Bureau has implemented a new electronic system for tracking those in custody at County jails with the help of Technology Services and Solutions, the County’s information technology department.
Incarcerated individuals wear wristbands that deputies scan with handheld devices. The radio-frequency identification system enables deputies to keep tabs on inmates as they move through a facility, conduct welfare checks, and more.
It’s Election Day! Today, June 2, is the last day to submit your ballot for the statewide primary election. You can vote at your polling place or a vote center, both of which will be open until 8 p.m. tonight. You can mail your ballot if it is postmarked by today or leave it in any county drop box.
