Santa Clara County dropped a new tool to help workers, employers, and consumers spot wage theft fast.

The County has launched a Wage Theft Judgment Dashboard, a user-friendly digital database designed to protect workers and incentivize employers to treat their employees fairly.
The interactive dashboard, created by the Office of Labor Standards Enforcement, lists employers in Santa Clara County that have judgments against them for wage theft – which occurs when employees do not receive all the wages and other compensation they have earned – and the amounts of the judgments.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month!
In partnership with the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), the County of Santa Clara’s Office of Disability Affairs and celebrate the many and varied contributions of workers in Santa Clara County with disabilities.
Visit the ODEP website at dol.gov/NDEAM for specific ideas about how you can support National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Suggestions range from simple actions, such as putting up a poster, to comprehensive changes, such as implementing a disability education program. No effort is too small to recognize the value and talent American workers with disabilities contribute to our workplaces and economy every day.

New Report: Real voices from Santa Clara County restaurant workers!
What’s it like behind the scenes in local restaurants? We asked – and workers answered.
Key Findings:
🔹 66% faced dangerous working conditions
🔹 60% experienced wage theft
🔹 1 in 5 worked sick without paid sick leave
👥 Most respondents:
✔️ Work in full-service restaurants
✔️ Speak Spanish at home
✔️ Work 30+ hours/week
OLSE partnered with University of California, Berkeley’s LOHP - Labor Occupational Health Program and local community organizations to conduct a descriptive worker survey to document the issues facing Santa Clara County restaurant workers. Read the full report at desj.santaclaracounty.gov/olse.

From factory workers to teachers, nurses to firefighters, web developers to product managers, the workforce is the backbone of our society.
