We were thrilled to join our partners at and Councilmember to celebrate a major milestone by SOAC in securing the final $3M investment for La Placita as part of the La Avenida Cultural District.

Grail Family Services is proud to be part of the services coming to La Placita. East San José is a child care desert, and we are working to open an enrollment center on-site to expand access to quality child care for families in the community.

More to come—but we’re excited to stand alongside the Sí Se Puede Collective on Alum Rock Ave. serving and uplifting our community. 💛

Dear families, community, and friends of Grail Family Services (GFS):

In times of challenges, one thing that always keeps me going is to remind myself to be grateful. In the climate we are living in right now, it has become very clear that this practice is not only a good suggestion, but a must.
I am so incredibly grateful for the many people who make GFS the organization we are. From our staff and board, to our partners and volunteers, our donors and allies, and as always, most importantly, the families we partner with. They are the ones that drive and inform everything we do, the ones that inspire us and challenge us.

Our families are the ones who remind us frequently that it is going to be okay, because they have shown us again and again their strength and resilience. And it is the faces of the young children who come into our doors every day that remind us that there is a future and that the future is bright because of them. For GFS, it is always about the children.

I cannot promise that things will be easy, but we can definitely commit to our families and our community that we will continue to be here for them.

As we head into this season of thanks, I wish you and your families a moment to pause from your busy lives and reflect on the people who make you grateful.

Queridas familias, comunidad y amigos de Grail Family Services (GFS):

En tiempos de desafíos, algo que siempre me ayuda a seguir adelante es recordarme a mí misma que debo dar gracias. Con todo lo que estamos viviendo hoy, está más claro que nunca que esta práctica no solo es una buena idea, sino una necesidad.

Estoy profundamente agradecida por todas las personas que hacen de GFS la organización que somos. Desde nuestro personal y junta directiva, hasta nuestras agencias colaboradoras y voluntarios, nuestros donantes y aliados, y como siempre—lo más importante—las familias con las que caminamos juntos. Son ellas quienes guían e impulsan todo lo que hacemos, quienes nos inspiran y también nos desafían.

Nuestras familias nos recuerdan una y otra vez que todo va a estar bien, porque nos han demostrado su fortaleza y resiliencia una y otra vez. Y son las caritas de los niños pequeños que entran por nuestras puertas cada día las que nos recuerdan que sí hay un futuro, y que ese futuro es brillante gracias a ellos. Para GFS, siempre se trata de los niños.

No puedo prometer que todo será fácil, pero sí podemos comprometernos con nuestras familias y con nuestra comunidad a que seguiremos aquí para ustedes.

Al entrar en esta temporada de agradecimiento, les deseo a ustedes y a sus familias un momento para hacer una pausa en sus vidas tan ocupadas y reflexionar sobre las personas que les llenan de gratitud.

Congratulations to the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley on a successful 15th Annual Brunch. The Grail Family Services staff had a great time mingling with like minded people in support of Latina leadership in the midst of these challenging times proving that we are stronger when we work together in the fight for equity and fairness.
