2015 National Conference on Ending Homelessness The 2015 National Conference on Ending Homelessness will take place at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, DC, July 15 to 17.

At HOP, Incorporated, we continue to reach out to members of 'the outdoor-demographic in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area and beyond'. Our objective is to assist members of the outdoor-demographic, to help themselves with our cognitive-assistance, to make a 180-degree turnaround.

A cultural-conditioning process,. has worked quite well over the centuries in the New Found Land; and as a consequence too many members of the 'outdoor-demographic...' right down to today, are completely enabled and dependent on other people, agencies, religious institutions, the government... to do their work for them.. .

The downside is that too many Americans, not only members of the outdoor-demographic, fail to understand how to jumpstart their lives. A sense of entitlement has replaced confidence and sense of "I can do things for myself"!

At HOP Incorporated, our formula is very simple. In short, conditioned people, young and old, from hereon will have to do the kind of thinking, planning and creative work, that too many Americans are simply unaccustomed to doing of late. Learning to compete is also a critical ingredient on the road to success. For example the American GDP is approaching 17B, when it could be double-that in a few years..

One of 'my critics', posted in another forum, that "I am a very mean person". The truth is that HOP and I have a single objective in mind, which is to help disenfranchised people, and the latter includes 'setting boundaries', in order to help members of 'the outdoor-demographic...", to learn to develop external groups and to learn to build again..

Confusing structure and discipline 'with being mean', we have discovered during HOP's five years of existence is a ongoing problem in America. The truth is that too many members of the nationwide-outdoor-demographic nationwide, as I mentioned above are completely culturally conditioned. At HOP, we are teaching visionaries to do just the opposite, in hopes that each person that crosses our portals, will learn the formula, get back in the game or create a new one altogether, with a single objective of turning 'their own' lives around!

Similar to millions of outdoor-citizens in America, according to what I read... Jesus was a outdoor-citizen, himself, during periods in his brief lifetime.. Remember this scripture, "foxes have holes, birds nests and the son of man no place to lay his head". Jesus was effectively born outside (in a manger), was crucified outside on a cross, he left outside and descended up into the atmosphere, from the outside as well.

Self Imprecation

Several weeks ago, in a encounter group-session with members of the outdoor-demographic in the Silicon Valley, we focused on a very important topic which was entitled; "The Criminalization of Homelessness". The discussion was both spirited and shocking all at the same time.

We discovered that there were in fact members of the 'outdoor-demographic' present, who much like the public, government institutions, religious organizations and others who believed and believe, that homeless people, or outdoor-citizens as we refer to this demographic, were in fact criminals.

My point; We have a lot of work to do in order to help 'outdoor-citizens', 'police-officers', 'community-members', 'families...' that just because a person does not have a residence, it does not make them a criminal. It is a inconvenient truth, that once a person is perceived to be a criminal, that they will be treated like or behave according to custom.

And there lies the rub, even in upscale Silicon Valley California and elsewhere.

BTW Religious people ought to reflect on a scripture text, that describes Jesus as an 'outdoor-citizen'. He did not have a place to lay his head, either, having being born on the outside in a stable, where nearby foxes and birds had holes and nests. And what was even worse, he died and left outside on a cross.

Jesus was homeless too; the earth was not his home. Too many members of the outdoor-demographic are expiring on the outside as well.
