At the end of the school year, our SVAE Medical Assisting Back Office students were practicing throat cultures by swabbing each other's tonsils. Students worked on one another just as they would in a medical office, building confidence in their clinical skills while gaining experience and preparing for future healthcare settings. Silicon Valley Adult Education (SVAE) proudly celebrated 35 graduates at last night’s Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony! We were honored to welcome keynote speaker Dr. Vinicio J. López, President of Evergreen Valley College, as we recognized the achievements and dedication of our adult learners. Congratulations, graduates! SVAE welcomed Patelco Credit Union for a financial literacy event, where they shared valuable resources and guidance with our students. From building financial knowledge to understanding important money management skills, these conversations help empower students both in and beyond the classroom. After completing 140 hours of hands-on training and dedicated coursework, 11 SVAE Metals Technology (Welding) students earned welding certifications across a variety of specialized skills, including Arc, Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), and aluminum welding. Our SVAE Automotive Maintenance & Light Repair students are hard at work in the shop raising vehicles, performing oil changes, replacing wheels, and learning how to remove and reinstall parts. We love seeing how much our students have grown throughout the year and how they’re building knowledge and confidence in everyday automotive skills.
