Yesterday, the Alum Rock Union School District Board voted 4–1 to begin negotiations with the Si Se Puede Collective for the rebuild of MACSA. This is a major victory for our community and a powerful reminder that when we organize and stand together, our voices create change.

This win was only possible because of the continued support, solidarity, and love shown for the MACSA movement. Thank you to every community member, advocate, and especially the youth who courageously shared what MACSA has meant to them and the dreams they carry for future generations.

This is more than a building, it’s about investing in culture, community, opportunity, and the future of our youth. The fight continues, but yesterday proved that our community power is stronger than ever. ❤️

1,900+ new businesses created, 1,400+ existing businesses scaled 📈

The Social Entrepreneurs for Economic Development (SEED) Initiative has helped create and scale more than 3,300 businesses in California. More businesses could be supported through SEED — and the data from previous years of SEED clearly shows that this program is a strong and strategic investment for California’s economic growth. Now is the time to reinvest.

As we’re closing out Small Business Month, we urge Governor Newsom and legislative and budget leaders to reinvest in immigrant entrepreneurship and the state’s economy by including Assemblymember Carrillo and Senator Becker’s SEED budget request in the final 2026–27 state budget.

El mes pasado, nuestras familias de ParentChild+ pasaron un hermoso día juntas en el Parque Emma Prusch 🚜🐮

Fue un día lleno de risas, conexión y esos pequeños momentos que más importan: familias explorando, jugando y simplemente disfrutando el tiempo juntos. De eso se trata todo esto: crear espacios donde las personas cuidadoras y los niños puedan bajar el ritmo, convivir y construir recuerdos que se quedan mucho más allá del día.

Nuestro equipo entendió la misión al 100%, llegando con disfraces de animalitos de la granja para darle vida a la hora del cuento con unas actuaciones dignas de premio ✨

Gracias a cada familia que se animó a venir y a todas las personas que ayudaron a hacer posible este día. Estos son los momentos que nos recuerdan por qué la comunidad es tan importante ❤️

Last month, our ParentChild+ families spent a beautiful day together at Emma Prusch Farm Park 🚜🐮

It was a day full of laughter, connection, and little moments that matter most, families exploring, playing, and simply enjoying time together. This is what it’s all about: creating spaces where caregivers and children can slow down, bond, and build memories that last beyond the day.

Our team understood the assignment, showing up in full farm animal onesies to bring storytime to life with some truly Oscar-worthy performances ✨

Thank you to every family who came out and to everyone who helped bring this day to life. These are the moments that remind us why community matters ❤️

La semana pasada celebramos el Día del Niño con comida, juegos, pinta caritas y muchísima alegría 🎉

Tuvimos la participación de más de 200 personas, incluyendo muchas familias de la escuela y la comunidad, que se reunieron para compartir risas, sonrisas y momentos especiales, recordándonos lo poderosa que es nuestra comunidad 💛 Crear espacios seguros donde las familias se sientan conectadas y con un sentido de pertenencia está en el corazón de todo lo que hacemos.

Last week, we celebrated Día del Niño with food, games, face paint, and so much joy 🎉

We saw over 200 participants, including many families from the school and neighborhood, come together, sharing laughter, smiles, and special moments, reminding us how powerful community truly is 💛 Creating safe spaces where families feel connected and a sense of belonging is at the heart of what we do.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so special ✨

May Day 2026 ✊🏽🔥

The energy was amazing yesterday as we came together in powerful solidarity for International Workers Day, marching alongside organizations from across the county, united for our communities. It was a reminder that real change happens when we stand together and refuse to back down.

We’re not done. We will keep challenging the system until justice for all isn’t a dream, it’s reality.
