Our members, community, and classified staff showed up and spoke out loud and clear at last night’s board meeting. We deserve to be supported and valued. 1% is not enough. !

There’s money coming to our schools.

What the new state budget holds in store for education Public universities will dodge big proposed cuts, while TK-12 schools will receive significant one-time funding for new or expanded programs.

If we can afford to keep our superintendent in the top third of salaries regionally, we can—and we must—lift our teachers out of the bottom fourth. Because no vision or strategic plan can succeed if we can’t attract and retain the people expected to carry it out. with our vision. Because when the district administration supports teachers, our students—and our entire district—thrives. ETA teachers standing up for what is right!

How will the administration spend the over $60 million they have on next years students? Will they offer a living wage to retain and attract teachers, or provide the necessary staffing, especially specialists needed to meet the needs of all students? Come this Thursday to hear what the administration has budgeted for the upcoming 25-26 school year.

Fight Back Against Federal Attacks on Our Schools Rally in San Francisco. We will meet at 12 noon at Embarcadero Plaza, on the corner of Market Street and Embarcadero. Come grab a poster and paint a banner before our march to ICE. We won't stand by while the Trump/Musk administration threatens resources for our students! We will meet at the Diridon Caltrain station tomorrow at 9:45. Come join us!
