Hello Community,

We’ve got an opportunity we think many of you will connect with — and it’s a chance to make your voice heard in a real way.
Graduate students from San José State University’s School of Social Work are hosting a listening session to learn about your experiences with Independent Living Program (ILP) services. They want to understand what’s working, what’s not, and how ILP can better support young adults transitioning into independence.
Who can join?
You’re invited if you:
• Are 18–30 years old
• Have been involved with Child Welfare Services
• Have received ILP services
• Have experienced homelessness in Santa Clara County
What to expect:
• A 90 minute focus group where you can share your story
• A space that’s confidential, voluntary, and judgment free
• Snacks and refreshments
• A $25 gift card as a thank you for your time
Your experiences matter — seriously. What you share could help shape future ILP services for other young people coming up behind you.
