Make sure your student plans to attend WEB Day which is for ALL incoming 6th grade Rams.
For Students:
WEB Day is the official orientation for all incoming 6th-grade Rams. Students will be placed in small groups led by 8th-grade WEB Leaders for a special on-campus orientation. This includes engaging games, a campus tour, and lunch. Students will also receive their class schedules and are generally released around noon. WEB Day is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones, as many students end up in classes with peers they met during orientation.
For Parents:
While the official orientation activities are for students only, parents are also invited to attend for a short time on the morning of WEB Day. Plan to arrive with your student, as parent organizations will have booths set up in the Quad to greet you, allowing you to learn more about their roles and contributions to the school. WGEd will have a table and tent to welcome you, answer questions, and collect contact information from those interested in volunteering. You’ll have the chance to purchase "Ram" wear from the Athletic Booster booth, buy PE uniforms, and often meet WGMS administrators.
Once the student orientation officially begins, your student will head off to join their peers and for parents there is typically a short, parent orientation led by the principal and parent association presidents in the theater.
More information is usually available on the WGMS website as the date approaches.
