🇺🇸 What Color Guard Means to Our Cadets 🇺🇸
Color Guard is more than carrying flags — it’s about honor, discipline, and pride. When cadets step onto the field as a Color Guard, they represent our unit, our community, and the values we stand for.
Through Color Guard, cadets learn:
• Teamwork — every movement matters, and everyone depends on one another
• Discipline & precision — attention to detail, practice, and accountability
• Leadership & confidence — standing tall in front of an audience with professionalism
• Respect for our nation — honoring the flag and those who serve
Whether at ceremonies, parades, or community events, Color Guard gives cadets a chance to serve with purpose and showcase the skills they’ve worked hard to earn. It’s a source of pride for our cadets and a powerful reminder of the traditions we uphold.
👏 We’re proud of every cadet who takes on this responsibility and wears the uniform with honor.

November Drill Weekend Highlights
Enterprise Division and Training Ship Ellexson completed a successful mandatory drill weekend on November 15–16, 2025 at the San Jose Naval Reserve Center. Cadets demonstrated teamwork, discipline, and growing leadership throughout two full days of training and service.
Saturday: Readiness & Community Service
Cadets began the morning with colors, reciting core values, and completing the Physical Readiness Test. After changing into Type III uniforms for inspection, they spent the bulk of the day supporting Toys for Tots, sorting and preparing donations for families in need.
A key addition this month was a leadership debrief for petty officers, who reviewed the Toys for Tots evolution, discussed strengths and challenges, and proposed improvements. This created an intentional leadership development opportunity for our senior cadets.
Sunday: Skills & Advancement
Sunday focused on training, including Color Guard, marching drill, shoe shining, and uniform care. Cadets also reviewed advancement requirements before concluding with promotions and ribbon presentations—a proud moment recognizing effort and growth.
Bravo Zulu, Cadets!!!
From physical training to community service to leadership development, our cadets upheld the standards of the Sea Cadet program and supported one another throughout the weekend. We’re proud of their continued progress and dedication.
