Delayed Entry Program (DEP, also called the Delayed Enlistment Program or Future Sailors in the Navy), is a program whereby individuals going into active duty in the United States Armed Forces enlist first in the DEP before they ship out to Basic Training.

Building comradery and mentoring, was at the forefront of the softball games in addition to some healthy competition between the CPO mess and FCPO mess from NRD San Francisco at Big League Dreams in Manteca. With a weighted an advantage of experience and age the Chief Petty Officers were victorious despite the valient effort of the young and well trained First Class Petty Officers. In addition to the competition on the field, off the field valuable training for both respective messes was accomplished as well as CPO 365 for both in a combined setting. This also gave the opportunity to grow and improve the mentor, mentoree relationships.
