Cecile Richards, former Planned Parenthood president and feminist activist, has died Richards died Monday of an aggressive brain cancer. She was 67.

We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of our very own trail blazer, Delaine Eastin. In the coming weeks, we will hear and celebrate the enormous life she led but for now we will always remain that she paved the way for so many here as an educator, Union City Councilmember, assemblywoman representing Alameda and Santa Clara Counties and eventually, Superintendent of Public Instruction.
