Santa Clara Valley Healthcare is hosting a free webinar for parents and teens to learn more about California driving laws and the risks of speeding and distracted driving so they can be safer on the road. Join us in honoring Transgender Day of Visibility!

We invite you to gather with us on Wednesday, April 1st as we raise the transgender flag in celebration of the strength, resilience, and contributions of transgender, nonbinary, and gender‑expansive community members. This day is about visibility, pride, and standing together for a more inclusive future.

What to Expect · A welcoming gathering of community members and allies · Reflections and messages from community speakers and County leadership · The raising of the transgender flag, and other activities.

When: Wednesday, April 1st, 11:30 AM–1:00 PM

Flag Raising Ceremony: 12:00–12:30 PM

Where: McEntee Plaza, 70 West Hedding, San Jose

World AIDS Day 2025 On 1 December WHO joins partners and communities to commemorate World AIDS Day 2025. Under the theme “Take the rights path: My health, my right!”, WHO is calling on global leaders and citizens to champion the right to health by addressing the inequalities that hinder progress in ending AIDS.

We’re celebrating a piece of Spartan history today 🏛️

In 2008, San José State opened what was first known as the LGBT Center, now called the PRIDE Center. This milestone started with dedicated students, staff and faculty who came together to create a space where people could connect and feel supported.

From small gatherings in the late 1960s to a permanent location in 2008 and a move to the Student Union in 2016, the PRIDE Center has grown into a hub for events, resources and connection.
