“I was so bubbly that I didn’t know what to do with myself. This place is the best place you would want to be at. Thank you all for giving me the chance and a place,” shared Deborah, on the joy of arriving at her new home at Agrihood in Santa Clara. Agrihood was developed by The Core Companies for seniors and senior veterans with services to support residents who have experienced homelessness.
Through the Supportive Housing Fund, a collaboration with County of Santa Clara, California, and by leveraging additional capital, Housing Trust has (to date):
🏡 Started up or preserved 1,653 permanent supportive housing units
🤝 $105 million in loans to end homelessness
💙 $44 million allocated from supportive housing fund

“The Empower down payment assistance program completely changed what we can afford in the market. That extra 30% of funding power [allowed us to find] a home we see ourselves in for the long-term and that we are really happy with,” said Kai and Daphne, on how the Empower Homebuyers SCC down payment assistance program supported their journey to homeownership.
In fiscal 2024, in partnership with County of Santa Clara, California, our Empower down payment assistance program helped:
🔑22 first-time buyers purchase homes in Santa Clara County, laying the groundwork for a buyers’ future generational wealth
📚1,583 homebuyers educated at workshops
