Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️
Pride isn't just a reason to celebrate. It's a time for all of us to stand up and fight back for the LGBTQ+ community. After many years of progress, we face a period of regression and backsliding. We cannot be silent as the most vulnerable and marginalized members of our community are being targeted for who they are and who they love.

Free, family friendly concerts are back in St. James Park! 🎶
The Friends of Levitt Pavilion San Jose welcome you to the lawn for 9 incredible concerts this summer, featuring regional jazz, blues, latin and souldies acts, and even a Prince tribute band! Recent Jimmy Kimmel Live guest Devon Gilfillian performs on June 7, with local talent Ben Henderson opening.
Food trucks, beer / wine garden, kids play area and terrific vibes are all provided. Bring a chair, blanket, and a few friends - and we guarantee you’ll make some new ones. Check out the concert series schedule and artist descriptions at levittsanjose.org

Today we celebrated a new chapter for The Fay!
Through the City’s Lower Income Voucher and Equity (LIVE) program, The Fay will add nearly 200 affordable homes right here in the SoFA District, one of our most walkable and vibrant neighborhoods.
The LIVE program establishes a tenant preference for public sector employees, providing new affordable housing options for public servants like local teachers, San José State faculty and staff, and City employees. Check out bit.ly/LIVESJ-Fay to register for the program!

It’s a new era for women’s sports here in San José! Today we were joined by local legends Brandi Chastain and Kristi Yamaguchi to welcome our newest hockey team: PWHL San Jose! 🧡💙🤍
Women’s sports are absolutely seeing a renaissance here in the Bay Area, with fans turning out to support Bay FC and the Valkyries. And with the Sharks and Barracuda in town, you can’t deny that hockey is a part of our DNA here in San José.
I can’t wait to see PWHL San José take to the ice this winter, inspiring future young women athletes here in San José and proving that everyone watches women’s sports. 🏒
