What an amazing day at the Post-Secondary Special Olympics, hosted at the Plex in San Jose! From competitive games to skill-building drills, students from East Side, FUHSD, PAUSD, SCUSD, and SJUSD showed incredible heart on the basketball court. Thank you to Jenny Ponzuric for a successful and well-attended workshop on “Explaining Eligibility: The Why Behind the Decision.” Jenny made a complicated topic feel easy to understand and reminded us how important it is to clearly explain the “why” behind every decision we make for students and families. We’re excited to bring what we learned back to our teams!

We had a fantastic time sharing our CAC journey from five SELPA CACs coming together as one at the Annual Alternative Dispute Resolution Conference in Riverside, California. A huge appreciation to all the participants who shared about their experiences, successes, and challenges. Your voices and collaboration continue to inspire this work.
