October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This month unites advocates, survivors, policymakers, and communities to raise awareness, educate the public on warning signs, and share support resources.

If you or someone you know is experiencing relationship abuse, you don't have to navigate it alone. The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides free, confidential support 24/7.

October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month—a reminder to check in on ourselves and the people we love, talk openly about mental health, and seek support early.

Dads’ mental health matters. When fathers feel supported, the whole family benefits. Depression can affect both dads and their children, but getting help early can make a difference. Asking for support is a sign of strength.

Pregnant? Protect yourself and your developing baby by getting your flu vaccine this season. A flu vaccine now will protect your baby when they’re born. Babies younger than 6 months are too young to get the flu vaccine. Their only protection is from maternal antibodies passed on during pregnancy.

📲 Contact your doctor, pharmacy or visit MyTurn.cdph.ca.gov to schedule your vaccine appointments.
