It's a little late in the semester but never too late to get to know your leadership! Our Cadet Battalion Commander this semester is Cadet Noe Morales. He's a long way from his hometown of Palmdale, California but is a natural Texan. He's majoring in Applied Arts and Sciences and is a Green to Gold Active Duty Option (ADO) Cadet with 12 years experience as an Infantry Soldier.

Our Cadet Command Sergeant Major this semester is Cadet Justin Kerins. He's also an ADO Cadet, a Californian, hailing from Victorville, and an Applied Arts and Sciences major.

We couldn’t be in better hands this semester as they have already made an impact on the productivity and culture of our Battalion. Bobcats lead the way! Texas State University 5th Brigade Army ROTC

Cadets have been hard at work getting and staying in shape these past few weeks. From campus runs and battalion circuits to platoon competitions and our first ruck march of the year, they have shown dedication and resolve worthy of the finest Army ROTC program in the great state of Texas! Congratulations to 2nd Platoon for winning the platoon competition. It was a close race where every cadet showed grit and heart with the next time only 8 seconds away from the winners. Thank you to all of the non-contracted cadets for waking up early everyday and working to better yourself, your battalion, your Army, and, ultimately, your nation. Bobcats lead the way! The hosted the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in the UFCU Stadium on Friday. We were joined by Bobcat Airmen, Texas State University Police Department, San Marcos Army Recruiting Center, and Texas Department of Public Safety with the TXST nursing program ensuring our safety as we honored the first responders by climbing the 2,200 steps those brave men and women ascended while saving lives. As we hit the 25-year anniversary of this tragic day in American history, we ask you to take a moment and reflect on how 9/11 has affected you and to give thanks to all those who lost their lives that day and in the Global War on Terrorism that followed. The majority of the Cadets in the program were born after 2001, but the effects are most certainly still felt by all service members. A special thanks to Chaplain Spurgeon and MSgt Badder for attending and leading the program in prayer prior to the climb. Bobcats lead the way! Texas State University 5th Brigade Army ROTC
