Officer Dunlop and Garcia were patrolling when they observed a vehicle speeding on local streets. They activated their lights and sirens to stop it when the suspect turned his headlights and taillights off. The suspect then quickly turned into a drive way thinking he would lose the officers.

Our officers are smart and definitely not blind. They immediately locate the vehicle and detained the driver and passenger.

Officer observed multiple open containers in the vehicle. On getting the driver and passenger out of the vehicle they observed a fi***rm.

The suspect driver is now serving time behind bars. Another great example of proactive policing at its best.

Last week Officers Pineda and Corces were patrolling in Wilmington when they observed a suspect exit from a gate to his residence. The suspect saw officers and instantly gave them a “I’m going to jail” look. The suspect took off running from officers. The officers were puzzled until they observed a fi***rm in his waistband as he ran southbound through the property.

A perimeter was set up and SWAT was called in. The suspect eventually came out of the residence not wanting his door to be broken down. A warrant was executed for the property and fi***rms were recovered.

Multiples suspect’s were taken into custody and arrested. The city is safer thanks to these officers proactive policing.

Public safety is our priority…

Officers Lima and Garcia observed a vehicle committing a vehicle code violation and conducted a traffic stop. Later they found out the driver was on probation and the passenger kept trying to hide a bag out of sight.

Both occupants were detained and officers recovered a fi***rm and controlled substance from a vehicle search.

One suspect was placed under arrest and spending some time in jail. The other two received tickets. Great work officers.

LAPD Harbor Officers putting in the work at LAPD 77th Division. Harbor division officers were on loan to 77th working the front desk and patrol.

The front desk officers took a report of a GTA that occurred and were tracking the vehicle live. Information was relayed to patrol officers and Harbor Division officers found the vehicle. Activating their lights and sirens did not make a difference. The driver did not want to stop and the pursuit was on. In the end the driver was untrained and not as good as LAPD Harbor Division officers.

7 suspects were taken into custody. And guess what 5 were juveniles. The other 2 were booked in to jail and being served some justice. Doesn’t matter what division we work in LAPD Harbor Division officers always put in the work.

Ever seen a tow truck being towed away by a tow truck ???

Vehicle registration is a mandatory legal process that links a vehicle to its owner and officially certifies that it is permitted to be driven on public roads. On a yearly basis everyone pays their registration in order to operate a motor vehicle on the streets of California.

Today Officers were patrolling and observed a tow truck that had a registration expired by 2 years. Totally unacceptable for being a tow truck company. Officers immediately impounded the tow truck and other vehicles located on the tow truck so the owner can pick it up after the registration is up to date.

Lately registration has been a big problem, but we want you to know LAPD Harbor Division sees the problem and is acting upon it.

This month we held our 2nd Annual Cops Golf At Palos Verdes Shores.

In an effort to strengthen community relations, local law enforcement officers are swapping badges for golf bags. Through friendly rounds of golf with community members, officers are creating space for open dialogue, trust-building, and shared experiences - all outside the traditional enforcement setting.

Whether it's a swing and a miss or a hole-in-one, the goal remains the same: build connections, foster understanding, and bridge the gap between officers and the people they serve.

LAPD Harbor Division would like to thank PV Shores MH and the golfing community for inviting us into their home for a officer appreciation golf tournament and allowing us to bridge the gap while having some fun one swing at a time. Congratulations to all the winners and participants.

See you all next time !!!

This weekend Officer Lima and Officer Corces were on routine patrol when they observed a vehicle distorted temporary license plates. The driver immediately noticed the officers and started accelerating away. Officers noticed the plates did not return to that vehicle.

Officers activated their lights and sirens but the suspect had no intentions of stopping. The pursuit was on and the suspect gave everyone a grand tour of Wilmington.

The suspect then misjudged the road and hits the center median disabling his vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and will have to answer to the judge for his actions.

We appreciate the proactive work of these officers in keeping the community safe.
