Base LALB will be hosting the 3rd annual official Coast Guard Marathon Satellite 5k, on the Long Beach Bike Path, 19MARCH, 2025 at 0830. This event is open to all within our LALB AOR, friends and family, and our Port partners.

On October 17th we will be welcoming and walking the final mile of Phase 1 with veteran walker Rob, (Retired CPO Robert Luna, 28yr veteran) in support of veteran mental health.

Robert has been walking across the United States since May 18th out of Weaver, AL. Robert is walking to raise money and awareness for mental health programming for veterans and transitioning service members. You can see his most recent press from the

Robert will finish the journey here at Base LA/LB on October 17th. We would be very grateful to have you attend to observe, line the street, or join the last mile challenge. The last mile challenge will begin at the location attached at 0900 and finish behind BLDG 27 parade field. There will be a closing ceremony taking place with guess speakers followed by food and beverages.
