Celebrate Earth Day with stories, s’mores, and nature fun!

Friendship Park welcomed over 35 students from Mount Olive Innovation and Technology High School for an unforgettable Earth Day celebration!

In partnership with , these students explored this beautiful site—many for the very first time! From scenic views to nature connections, it was definitely a memorable way to spend the day.

We stand in solidarity with LA County neighbors and extend our gratitude to the courageous first responders working tirelessly to protect our communities.

With extremely heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the passing of Blue the American Kestrel, our beloved Animal Ambassador.

Blue was more than just a part of our team—she was a teacher, a companion, and a source of joy for everyone who visited our nature center. Through her presence, she helped visitors connect with and learn about her environment, guided our staff in bird handling, and brought smiles to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Tragically, Blue passed away due to unforeseen circumstances. Her loss is a poignant reminder of the delicate balance in nature.

Her impact on our community was immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed. Thank you, Blue, for everything you gave to us.
