The Mounted Sheriff's Posse of Marin County was established in 1942 as a unit to assist the Sheriff and maintain the Western Heritage of our County. Today, the unit is a Search and Rescue unit available on call to search in the rugged terrain's of Marin County and throughout Northern California.
