How did you celebrate World Cleanup Day? We were able to get a team of our Rotarians out on foot, as well as our Interactors out on kayaks to collect trash! We had a great time hanging out while we helped to clean up Pickleweed Park and the surrounding area. We wanted to give a big shoutout to for organizing the event! We’re looking forward to next year! 🌊

We couldn’t be more proud to sponsor Make a Splash! Make a Splash provides six weeks of free swim lessons to over 150 children who may otherwise be unable to afford them. Drowning is the second leading cause of death for children under 14, and formal swim lessons reduce the likelihood of drowning by nearly 90%! 🏊🏼‍♀️💦

We recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of our club, as well as the instillation of officers for this year! We had a wonderful time at the event, which was filled with lots of memories, fellowship, and great food. We wanted to give a congratulations to our newest board members, as well as our sincere thanks to our outgoing board and president Jaime. Finally, thank you to all who have supported us thus far, we couldn’t have done this without you! Shoutout to for the great photos.

We wanted to give a big shoutout to our Interact Club, especially because some of them graduated today! This past semester they have worked with the elderly at the San Rafael Health and Wellness Center, and found creative ways to interact with the residents such as through activities like Zoom bingo! Congratulations to the Class of 2022, we’ll miss you but we can’t wait to see how you change the world! To the rest of our club, we hope you have a great summer, and we can’t wait to see you in the fall!

Hello everyone! We hope you had a wonderful new year. We’re looking forward to another year of serving our community! Enjoy this throwback to October, when we volunteered with Sanzuma! In their own words, “Sanzuma is dedicated to increasing the availability of freshly grown foods through gardening and urban farming, policy, improving health, and reconnecting people with their environment.” 🌱

We hope you are having a wonderful Christmas! This season we celebrated by singing Christmas carols and holiday hits for the elderly in the San Rafael Healthcare and Wellness Center. They were so kind and appreciative (despite our lack of musical training 😉) and they are looking for other organizations to come spend time with their residents. We want to give a shout-out to Beverly Barbara, and Brigette for volunteering with San Rafael Santa Cop! SRSC collects toy donations from across Marin County and matches them with youth in need for the holidays. Volunteers “shop” for a child and help find the perfect gifts just in time for the Christmas season! Also pictured is Kathleen who is showing off just how big (and heavy) these gifts can get! 🎄

We’ve been busy this holiday season! Pictured are just some of the toys we collected for annual toy drive. We were able to sponsor over 40 kids gifts this year! We would love to hear about what your holiday volunteer traditions are! 🎁

We are very pleased to share our work with Enriching Lives Through Music with you. ELM works with youth in need in Marin County. Their program is tuition-free, and they provide musical training, instruments, academic support, and most importantly, a community for their students. We are so grateful to support organizations that make such a positive impact like this! 🎶

This past weekend a few of our members visited Community Action Marin’s production farm. 1 in 3 children and seniors are food insecure in Marin County. CAM’s farm works to provide healthy produce for those who are underserved in our community. Thank you to CAM for allowing us to tour your facility. We are proud to support this wonderful organization!

We wanted to give a shout-out to one of our members Hugh! Hugh volunteered with the Global Book Exchange, which gives young students the opportunity to take up to 10 books home with them to encourage additional reading. Global Book Exchange was created by Marilyn Nemzer, who is a member of the Tiburon Sunset Rotary Club. We love supporting our neighboring clubs!
