We believe that everyone needs food, shelter, dignity and a chance for a better life – no one can do it alone.

Our goal is to provide compassionate care and critical services to residents of Marin County who are struggling to make ends meet. Our trained volunteers meet with individuals and/or families in order to develop a trusting relationship and to ascertain how they can best be served. The assistance we provide may take the form of direct aid, intervention, advocacy or moral support. This "neighbor helping neighbor" model holds "respect" as our dearest attribute: we respect those we serve for their many experiences, their struggles, their talents and their humanity.

On Saturday, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin hosted our annual gala and 80th Anniversary celebration, Pennies from Heaven, at the beautiful Meadow Club. The elegant sold-out event welcomed 210 benefactors and raised more than $750,000 for SVdP's vital programs and services in Marin that feed the hungry, house the homeless, and keep our precariously housed neighbors from falling into homelessness.

We are deeply grateful for the steadfast generosity of our incredible supporters. Your compassion and commitment are truly the foundation of our mission. Events like Pennies from Heaven would not happen without you.

Thank you for helping make this year's celebration such a tremendous success. We look forward to seeing you again next year at Pennies from Heaven on Saturday, October 2, 2027!

Our older adult community in Marin is facing a heartbreaking risk of falling into first-time homelessness. The older Marin residents we serve are the people who helped build this community. Now, it is our turn to stand beside them.

For many older adults living on fixed incomes, stability can quickly unravel as they face rising costs, worsening health, and the profound loss of spouses and support systems. In these moments, our collective compassion matters. We must look out for one another.

Our older adult neighbors are increasingly vulnerable and in need of our care and support. We invite you to join SVdP in making a meaningful difference for older adults in Marin who deserve stability, dignity, and respect.

St. Vincent de Paul is honored to receive a transformative gift from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

With this incredible grant award, SVdP's Free Dining Room will be able to replace our aging walk-in refrigerator and freezer, ensuring we can safely store the food needed to continue preparing and serving over 500 nutritious meals daily for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

We are especially grateful to Misty from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for taking the time to visit SVdP to learn more about our vital programs.

September is Hunger Action Month! Together, we are ending hunger and food insecurity in Marin County.

Because of you, St. Vincent de Paul's Free Dining Room provides more than 200,000 hot, nutritious meals annually to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Help us ensure that every child, older adult, Veteran, and individual in Marin has access to the nourishing meals they need.
