Sandersville Old City Cemetery

Y’all make sure to come get lunch on Virginia Ave tomorrow after the Occupation Of Sandersville reenactment events on the square. We will have P’pas Straws, Kaolin Teas, Chef Erik, great BBQ provided by Crossroads Grilling Co., Heather Marie Black, and Pa’s Poppin Pork Skins joining us outside the cemetery gates to provide delicious food and drinks for everyone! Grab a bite and then head into the cemetery and learn a little bit about our residents and our town’s history and involvement in the civil war by participating in The Old City Cemetery Scavenger Hunt. It’s sure to be a good time and you may even win some nice prizes!!

Spectator parking for Skirmish on the Square on Saturday 10/25!! The entire square will be blocked off from 6AM-12PM for the reenactment. Please park in the places designated for parking by the blue parking symbol!! Events on the square will begin at 9AM, we cant wait to see you there!!

These Old City Cemetery magnets will be given away to the first 100 people participating in the Scavenger Hunt at the cemetery on Saturday, October 25, 2025 beginning at 12:00.

Join us this evening for the downtown Fall Festival, Thursday, October 20th 5:30 to 8:30. Come to the cemetery for a self-guided tour with prizes! Also, a skull hunt for kids! A hayride will be available from the Square to the cemetery, or you may come directly. We look forward to seeing you among the stones! 🎃
